About Essentials Therapy
Sports injury’s, soft tissue damage, tight muscles, pre/post event massage, shoulder pain, back ache, stress, anxiety, relaxation.Essential Therapies provides Sports and Remedial massage to clients throughout the local area. The company located in Ripley, Derbyshire was established in 2001 by Nicola who has over 12 years of experience in the profession.
Nicola has been a qualified massage therapist for well over a decade initially qualifying in Swedish massage before moving onto aromatherapy, Indian head massage, pregnancy massage and la stone therapy (the original hot and cold stone massage). Deciding to Combine her love of massage with her enjoyment of sports Nicola trained in clinical Sports and Remedial massage at Loughborough under the tutorship of Tanya Milne and presently holds a Level 5 qualification (which is currently the highest attainable level within the UK). Nicola is a fully affiliated member of the Institute of Sports and Remedial massage (IRSM) and has provided post event massage support at the London marathon and studied in workshops with Mel Cash, an eminent practitioner and author in sports and remedial massage.
Many of Nicola’s clients include people that are involved in sports and active hobbies which include running, cycling, dancers, gardeners, golfers, netball players, hockey players, skiers and tennis players just to name a few however it is not only those with an energetic lifestyle that seek treatment. Clients also consist of office based workers and people in very repetitive jobs that lead them to suffer from aches and pains or to aid those in a rehabilitation process from various injuries and operations.
